Reading a player's clothing 'can give poker advantage'

Being able to read a player's clothing can be an important advantage while playing poker, a body language expert has argued.
Judi James, who has written books on poker and body language, said that there are valuable clues to be found in how people dress and that it can reflect they way they play.
Breaking down the way people dress into eight different categories, Ms James told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that some types are more suited to bluffing than others, especially "casual obsessive players".
"Casually scruffy players" are apparently particularly hard to read, while "optimistic dressers" are easily distracted with jokes or stories.
Talking about "power dressers", Ms James said players should "expect industrial-strength bluffs" from them and that they will be desperate to win.
Ms James book, Poker Face: Mastering Body Language to Bluff, Read Tells and Win, was slammed by one reviewer on Amazon.com, who gave it one star and said it is "painfully obvious that the writer of the book rarely played poker".
