The European Poker Tour's (EPT) final event of the year is to get underway today at the Hilton Prague Hotel in the Czech Republic.

A host of top poker players are scheduled to take part in the tournament, including Shaun Deeb, Bertrand Grospellier and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Katja Thater, according to PokerListings.com

The €5,000 ($7,335) event will last until December 14th, when one of the several hundred players will walk away as the winner.

It is expected that there will be about 350 players in attendance.

The last EPT tournament took place in Dublin in November with Reuben Peters coming out on top ahead of Annette Obrestad.

Prague is the fifth city to host an event on the current tour, which has already taken in London, Barcelona and Baden.

So far, the winners of EPT events have all received over €500,000.
