Poker is searched for on the internet more than any other word or phrase, according to new research.
Search engine Lycos studied the activity of its users and found that for the second year in a row poker came out on top, beating MySpace in to second-place and Britney Spears into third.
The company said: "Propelled by the continued success of the World Poker Tour and numerous televised celebrity poker tournaments, online interest in poker dominates Lycos's search logs week after week."
Re-affirming this statement, poker is at the top of the search listings again this week, after 412 weeks on the top 50 chart, with only Britney, Dragonball and Pamela spending more time on the list.
Golf is second this week, with Christmas third and fashion fourth.
Lycos is one of the world's top internet portals alongside Yahoo! and MSN.
