New episodes of Poker After Dark for 2008

New episodes of one of the most famous television card shows, Poker After Dark, are to be shown at the start of 2008, it has been reported.

Season three of the NBC programme will begin at 02:05 PST on January 1st, according to Card Player, and will feature what has been dubbed a "dream table".

The contestants include Mike Matusow, Jennifer Harman, Phill Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Scotty Nguyen and Ken Light, who have more than 20 World Series of Poker bracelets between them, as well as combined tournament winnings of over $30 million.

Also featured in the episode will be Marienela Pereyra, the so-called Poker Princess.

Hellmuth and Matusow have both never won a Poker After Dark event despite six and five appearances respectively.

Negreanu and Harman both scored wins in season one of the show, that aired early in 2007.
