2008-01-09 13:08:13

Women poker players will be given their own category at Binion's Horseshoe's poker hall of fame, it has been reported.

Called the Women in Poker Hall of Fame, the section will sit alongside the other hall of fame, according to Launch Poker.

Barbara Enright, Susie Isaacs, Linda Johnson and Marsha Waggoner will be among the first inductees.

These four women have six World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets between them, some of which will have been won at Binion's itself, which used to host before it was sold by Harrah's Entertainment, which owns the WSOP.

Among the poker stars already in the men's section of the hall of fame are Phil Hellmuth, TJ Cloutier, Johnny Chan, "Amarillo Slim" Preston, "Chip" Reese, Doyle Brunson and "Wild Bill" Hickok.

The women's induction ceremony will take place on February 2nd.
