European Poker Tour's (EPT) Caribbean Adventure has been won by Frenchman Bertrand Grospellier, it has been reported.
According to Card Player, the former computer game-playing ace won the $2 million prize after a heads-up against Hafiz Khan.
The magazine's 2007 player of the year David Pham, who had dominated much of the tournament, finished in fourth place, behind Kris Kuykendall.
It was Grospellier's first EPT tour title and biggest live tournament win to date.
The end came after Khan bluffed with a nine of clubs and three of diamonds and Grospellier called with a pair of eights. The flop failed to save Khan and he went home with $1,094,976.
According to Card Player, Grospellier "dominated" the final table "in impressive fashion" and he became the chip leader very quickly early on, having started the day in second place with a stack less than half the size of Pham's.
