World Series of Poker (WSOP) two-time bracelet winner Howard Lederer took down one of the biggest tournaments of this year's Aussie Millions earlier this week when he won the Au $100,000 ($90,000) buy-in no-limit hold'em event.
Only 25 players elected to take part in the high stakes game, according to Card Player, but they included some of the best players in the world, such as last year's winner Erick Lindgren, five-time WSOP bracelet winners Phil Ivey and Chris Ferguson, as well as World Poker Tour king Gus Hansen.
Lederer finished ahead of Mark Teltscher to win Au $1.5 million, the biggest pot of his career to date. Second-place was awarded Au $650,000, with Michael Sampoerna taking Au $350,000 for third.
Only the top five players received a share of the prize fund.
The Aussie Millions is scheduled to conclude on Sunday following the final table of the no-limit hold'em main event.
