Day three of World Poker Tour's (WPT) World Poker Open saw the remaining field of 27 participants whittled down to a final table of six.
Among the big name players missing the cut were Barry Greenstein, TJ Cloutier and John Phan, although Freddy Deeb and Men Nguyen are still in contention, according to Card Player.
Deeb actually leads the chip count on 1,345,000 going into the final day, with Nguyen in fourth place with 729,000.
Brett Faustman and Gabe Costner split the two heavy hitters with 1,282,000 chips and 1,181,000 respectively.
Hoyt Corkins and John Spadavecchia also made the final table.
Deeb has experience of winning a WPT event in the past, having taken down the Ultimate Poker Classic event during series four. He won $1 million in prize money.
Also part of his WPT collection are two final tables and five money finishes.
Nguyen will be chasing his first tour title, having finished in the money eight times and reached four final tables.
