The European Poker Tour (EPT) is planning an event in the Polish city of Warsaw.

Taking place between March 11th and 15th, the Poland Open will have an entry fee of €5,750 ($8,415) and a potential top prize of €3 million, reports the Casino Gambling Web.

Based on a five-day Texas Hold'em format, the competition is reported to be one of the "feature tournaments" on the EPT circuit by the website.

The Poland Open will take place at the Casinos Poland venue at the Hyatt Regency hotel and players can qualify by winning a seat on the PokerStars satellites.

The EPT has been operating for four years and claims to be "Europe's richest and most popular poker tour".

It states that its total prize fund in 2006 hit €26.6 million. The tour also attracted 3,400 players and its main event - the EPT Grand Final - offered a top prize of €6.6 million and saw 706 players compete.
