Erik Seidel can now call himself a World Poker Tour (WPT) titlist following victory at the Foxwoods Poker Classic this morning.
A WPT trophy appeared to be the only thing missing from Seidel's impressive silverware collection, but a dominant final table performance ensured the gap would be there no longer.
The eight-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner had bossed the competition since the fourth day and he maintained this form, eventually seeing off Robert Richardson to take the tournament and a check for $992,890.
Richardson looked like being the only player capable of stopping Seidel for much of the final six and single-handedly eliminated Ted Forrest, Adam Katz and Frank Cieri respectively.
But he was at a huge chip disadvantage going into the heads-up and Seidel finally defeated him at 04:30 local time.
With the win Seidel will likely become the leader in Card Player's player of the year race, as well as putting him among the top ten live tournament earners of all time.
