Doyle Brunson has said he will retire to his mountain ranch in Montana if Patrik Antonius beats him in their planned one-on-one match.
Many had thought the Texas Dolly was not serious when he claimed in a previous blog post that he would quit if he loses to the Finnish player, but he made the same statement again today.
Antonius challenged Brunson to any poker form of his choosing and Brunson believes he cannot lose to the 28-year-old because he is vastly more experienced at several different variants of the game.
"If anyone under 30 years of age can let me pick any game at any time I want, I strongly believe I can beat them," he said. "If I don't, the Brunson family has 300 acres on the top of a mountain at Big Arm, Montana. I'll retire and move up on that mountain."
Brunson expects to see Antonius at the Bellagio this week for the World Poker Tour Championship event and plans to discuss their grudge match. It is not known when it will occur or whether it will be televised.
