Hansen on course for fourth WPT title

Gus Hansen is still on track to win a fourth World Poker Tour (WPT) title at the Championship event this week.
After a minor blip on day four where he dropped from first to second, the 34-year-old has re-established his lead at the Bellagio with a chip stack of 8,570,000.
Second-place Cory Caroll is almost two million chips behind on 6,670,000, followed by David Chiu with 6,050,000.
John Roveto (2,720,000), Tommy Le (1,950,000) and Jeff King (1,305,000) are the only other players left in the competition.
Day four's frontrunner Amir Vahedi failed to make the final table finishing in seventh, while Tom Dwan, who led the competition briefly, was also eliminated.
Jeff Shulman and Andy Black were the first two players to be knocked out on the penultimate day.
It is the seventh final table appearance for Hansen at a WPT event, a total surpassed only by Phil Ivey with eight.
