Tom "Durrr" Dwan, one of foremost online poker players of his generation, won a large pot of money in an internet game over the weekend, it has been reported.
Dwan earned $112,000 in one go when his set of aces beat opponent lady marmelade's trio of sevens, PokerStrategy.com reports.
He earned a further $38,000 throughout the course of the pot-limit Omaha match, which may in some part make up for his elimination from the World Poker Tour Championship on Friday.
Dwan was one of the favourites going into the penultimate day at the Bellagio, but failed to make the final table, eventually going home in ninth place with $184,670.
However, with the online win, Durrr earned more than Jeff King did for finishing sixth at the WPT main event.
Dwan is best known for being a no-limit Texas hold'em player in live tournaments, but he has had success at pot-limit Omaha too, most noticeably at the Aussie Millions earlier this year.
