Allen Cunningham continued his excellent run at Harrah's Entertainment-run poker events, taking down the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) championship at Caesars Palace last night.
Cunningham's $499,162 victory puts him third in poker's all-time money list with about $10.1 million.
He has now earned more from live tournaments than any player who has not won the WSOP main event, with only Jamie Gold and Joe Hachem ahead of him.
Winning the tournament was not easy for Cunningham, who had to come from behind in the heads-up to beat online player Ben Fineman in the conclusion of the nine-man final table.
Kelly Samson was third, with Motoyuki Mabuchi, Justin Bonomo and Blair Hinkle rounding out the top six.
Former champion Doug Lee was the first to be eliminated, followed by Ralph Perry and Thomas Hover.
It is Cunningham's first big title since he won the Vegas Open in May last year.
