World Poker Tour titlist Roy Winston has said he may not play in the first event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the end of this month.
Tournament one is usually popular among the players and last year's mixed hold'em competition was won by Steve Billirakis who took home more than $500,000.
But Winston told readers of his Card Player blog that such a victory may not be on the cards for him in Las Vegas, as he has an invitation to play at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) in Manila instead.
The reigning Borgata Poker Open champion said he has yet to make his mind up about which event he would take part in, although he implied he would also miss out on the WSOP Circuit championship in New Orleans should he travel east.
There are four stages on the APT calendar, with the Manila tournament being followed by competitions in Seoul, Macau and Singapore.
