Isaac "westmenloAA" has proved just why he won Card Player's online player of year (OPOY) competition last year by taking down a major internet poker competition.
The Californian was down in 16th place last week, before an April 7th tournament victory sent him flying up the table into second.
Baron would have gone first had Brian "SNo0oWMAN" Hawkins not managed to land 176 points himself that day.
He currently has a total of 3,528 - just eight points behind.
Meanwhile, Brent "Bhanks11" Hanks has fallen down to fourth position behind rcrane082985.
Rcrane, whom Card Player recently discovered was called Russell Crane, has scored close to 400 points in the last week.
"GhettoFabolous" David Randall is now in fifth place.
It will be interesting to see if Baron manages to continue his momentum at the top of the leaderboard over the next few weeks.
He has proven himself a fan of live poker tournaments so far this year and it is likely that he may spend the summer months focusing upon the World Series of Poker.
