Timothy Miles will go into the final table of the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) tournament in New Orleans with a comfortable lead over the rest of the field.
The provisional chip count after day two put the Floridian on 687,000 - more than 280,000 more than second-placed Ed Jatho.
None of the big names entering the penultimate day's action managed to survive, with World Poker Tour player of the year Jonathan Little and European Poker Tour titlist Tim Vance going home in 28th and 46th place respectively.
Miles has experience of winning at WSOPC competitions, having taken down last year's event eight and the mega satellite tournament, each of which earned him over $80,000.
He will face stiff competition for the $382,928 winner's fund today, however, with eight players lining up to try and topple his lead.
As well as Jatho, the final table also contains Jeff Times, Marc Fratter, Nick Ceci, Chuck Kelley, Lou Esposito, Gabe Costner and Floyd Vanderford.
