Author Jackie Collins will open and act as honorary captain for the Queen of Hearts team in this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) female only event.
The no-limit hold'em tournament with a a $1,000 (£500) buy-in will last three days, starting on the June 8th and will be held at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The lineup of celebrities and poker professionals is impressive, including Shawnee Barton, defending champion Sally Ann Boyer and actresses Joely Fisher and Teri Hatcher.
Along with the estimated $1 million available in the prize pool, there is a highly coveted WSOP winners gold bracelet for whoever takes top spot.
The Queen of Hearts team was founded three years ago to raise awareness for women's health issues and will be playing for the Nevada Cancer Institute this year, according to PokerNews.com.
