Top pros fans of Pot-Limit World Championship kick-off

Two top poker professionals expressed happiness at the $10,000 World Championship Pot-Limit Hold'em tournament starting this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP).
Writing for Full Contact Poker and Card Player respectively, Daniel Negreanu and Lee Watkinson both suggested they were glad the competition was chosen as event one.
Watkinson's preference is because he felt in previous years the first tournament had not always been big enough to carry the weight of excitement that comes with the WSOP getting underway.
Negreanu on the other hand believes the big buy-in will help him get serious about his poker right off the bat and thinks the pot-limit stipulations will put him in a patient frame of mind for the rest of the summer.
Watkinson and Negreanu have both had success at the WSOP in the past, with the American winning one bracelet while the Canadian has two.
Last year's pot-limit hold'em champion was Allen Cunningham.
