Singer heads WSOP event three

2008-06-03 15:40:15

David Singer has continued his remarkable run of form at event three of the World Series of Poker (WSOP).

The professional player, who won the biggest internet buy-in tournament in poker history last week, has a dominant lead at the head of the $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em Freezeout field, with Poker News estimating his stack at about 125,000 chips overnight.

Singer has cashed in the first two events of the WSOP so far, although it is impossible for him to continue the run to four tournaments, as the fourth competition has already got underway.

The Las Vegas resident has never won a WSOP bracelet before but has a great chance in this one. Philip Yeh is thought to be his closest rival with just 105,000 chips.

Singer has already outlasted some of the cream of the poker world.

Among the top competitors to go to the rail were Andy Bloch, TJ Cloutier, JC Tran, Phil Ivey and Andy Black.
