Negreanu desires second WSOP POY title

Daniel Negreanu desperately wants to win his second World Series of Poker (WSOP) player of the year (POY) award.
The Canadian wrote in his Full Contact Poker blog that he enjoys these types of competitions and is looking to replicate his success from 2004.
"I just love player of the year races," Negreanu remarked. "I've had a good track record with them and they really motivate me to play better."
It is the first time that Kid Poker has expressed this view during the 2008 WSOP and suggests that he is no longer as preoccupied with winning a bracelet, having already achieved this goal last week.
Negreanu is second in the POY rankings at the moment, narrowly behind Erick Lindgren and just ahead of Barry Greenstein - two men he considers to be his friends.
He estimated that he has been given POY accolades five times during his career as a professional poker player.
