Seidel gunning for ninth WSOP bracelet

Erik Seidel is bidding to become the latest top player to expand his World Series of Poker (WSOP) trophy collection at the Rio this year.
The eight-time bracelet holder will play his second WSOP final table of the month tonight and is in a decent position to equal Johnny Moss's nine titles, which will put him joint-fourth in the all-time title winner list.
Several big names have already picked to additional bracelets so far this month. Layne Flack increased his tally to six, while Daniel Negreanu won a fourth and Mike Matusow took a third.
But none of the top five living bracelet winners have managed to snatch one yet, despite Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, Seidel and Billy Baxter all managing to reach final tables.
Seidel has a relatively low-key group of players to overcome tonight.
His opponents are Michael Fetter, Tom Chambers, Martin Klasser, Casey Kastle, Larry Wright, Joseph Haddad, Chad Burum and Jonathan Maren.
