WSOP bracelet for Tran

The World Poker Tour's fifth season player of the year JC Tran has finally added a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet to his collection.

Tran conquered the field in event 49, which was a $1,500 no-limit hold'em tournament, to earn $631,053.

It was third time lucky for Tran, who was taking part in final table number three of 2008.

Rasmus Nielsen was the last man to oppose the Vietnamese-American in the heads-up.

In the last hand of the night, the board showed eight, queen, two, four and the Dane decided to push all-in with queen-jack.

Tran made the call with king-queen and his cards stood up to the two on the river to win him the championship.

John Conroy was knocked out in third position, with Peter Nguyen going to the rail in fourth.

Joe Pelton finished in fifth place, ahead of Chad Siu and Jesper Hoog.

Robert Kalb and Christophe Kohnen took up the last two final table places.
