Shorr makes third of a million at WSOP

2008-07-02 16:22:42

Shannon Shorr has made more money at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) so far than the vast majority of people make in a year.

The Alabaman, who has yet to win a WSOP bracelet, revealed in his latest blog post that has earned more than $384,498 from a stake of $60,000 over the last month.

Shorr has played his last preliminary events at the WSOP, but is confident that more money can be won during the main event which gets underway later this week.

He and his housemates have already earned more than $900,000 between them and he expects that the overall total will top $1 million once the biggest tournament in poker has finished.

A large chuck of the total came from Shorr's runner-up finish near the start of June, for which he received $349,141.

World Poker Tour titlist Roy Winston is one player who has spent considerably more money than he has won back at the 2008 WSOP.
