Daniel Negreanu claims he won $100,000 in one online poker session over the weekend.
The four-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet holder and two-time World Poker Tour titlist told readers of his Full Contact Poker blog that he earned the cash playing against a novice at HORSE.
He claimed that his opponent, an expert in other poker variants, was willing to lose such large sums of money just so he could learn how to play HORSE from an experienced competitor such as Kid Poker.
The Canadian suggested that a few years ago such a situation would have been unheard of and that nobody would have been willing to play $1,000-$2,000 heads-up simply to learn a lesson.
Negreanu is a well-respected all-round poker player, with proven credentials at HORSE.
He finished in 13th position in the World Championship HORSE event at the WSOP earlier this year, earning $142,080 for his troubles.
