Shorr comments on POY aspirations

Shannon Shorr has made it clear that winning Card Player's player of the year (POY) competition is one thing he definitely wishes to achieve during his poker career.
The Alabaman, who was fourth in 2006, wrote in his blog that he dislikes not being able to mount a serious challenge in 2008, as his studies will limit his live tournament playing schedule.
Referring to how his summer has gone so far, Shorr commented: "The only thing that I really hate is that I won't be able to compete for the POY title this year.
"After 2006, I thought it would take a long, long time to get this close again."
Some men have turned doing well in POY competitions into an art form.
Men Nguyen, for example, has won the Card Player award on four previous occasions and is currently in pole position to take Bluff Magazine's accolade for 2008.
