Espinar becomes latest LAPT champion

Jose Miguel Espinar is the latest man to win an event on the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT).
The Spaniard defeated Alex Brenes in the heads-up to take the title and a cheque for $241,735 in Uruguay on Sunday.
Lisandro Gallo came third, ahead of Alexandre Gomes, Gylbert Drolet, Sidney Chreem and Juan Jose Perez.
Paul Cesar Ribeiro and Carlos Curi took up the remaining final table places.
Brenes was perhaps the favourite for victory going into the last day based on his performances in recent years.
The Costa Rican, who is based in Florida, has experience of numerous World Series of Poker (WSOP) and World Poker Tour final tables and had already come close to winning an LAPT title in 2008 in Rio de Janeiro.
His older brother Humberto also managed to finish in the money down in 28th place, a feat which 2004 WSOP main event champion Greg Raymer and three-time WSOP bracelet holder Barry Greenstein were not able to achieve.
