Baron more than 2,000 points off OPOY pace

Isaac Baron, the internet superstar known at westmenloAA, could be about to lose his Card Player crown as the best online poker competitor in the world.
Even though there is still a long way to go in the season, the more than 2,000-point difference between the reigning player of the year and leader Brian 'SNo0oWMAN' Hawkins is a considerable one, particularly given his form of late.
Baron has not scored any points since the middle of May, which has led to him falling down to 18th in the rankings.
No other player inside the top 20 has gone so long without adding to their overall total, with nine of the top ten extending their advantage over Baron in the last fortnight alone.
Having only recently turned 21, Baron has no notable performances to date on the US live poker tournament circuit as he was unable to compete until earlier this summer.
However, he has notched up a final table finish on the European Poker Tour.
