Top internet poker player Justin Rollo has explained just why he has been missing from the online world over the last few weeks.
In a post on his Pokersavvy blog, the professional claimed to have infectious mononucleosis, an ailment more commonly known as mono or glandular fever.
"I haven't been playing much lately so in turn I haven't been updating this blog much either," he remarked. "I've been really sick and it got even worse the last week or so."
The illness has interfered with what was shaping up to be a fairly successful summer of poker for Rollo.
He not only managed to cash in two World Series of Poker events but also landed in the money a number of times in major internet tournaments, according to Card Player, which ranks him in 796th position in its online player of the year race.
In other Rollo news, he claims to be still on the hunt for a second home.
