Legends of Poker begins on Saturday

Saturday will see the World Poker Tour (WPT) get back underway with the Legends of Poker tournament at the Bicycle Casino in Florida.
As the biggest year-long competition series in the sport, a host of major players are expected to enter, with the likes of Daniel Negreanu and Roy Winston already confirming their participation in their Full Contact Poker and Card Player blogs respectively.
Dan Harrington won last year's tournament, receiving $1.6 million for his troubles, in a victory which rivaled his distant cousin Padraig Harrington's success at the 2007 Open Championship.
A similar-sized prize fund is anticipated for the 2008 version, although it is not yet known whether Harrington will be returning to defend his crown.
Padraig successfully retained his Open Championship title earlier in the summer and went on to take further Major honors at the US PGA Championship.
It remains to be seen whether card sharp Dan will continue to mirror his relative's winning ways.
