Sabat on top at APPT Macau

Edward Sabat is the overnight chip leader after day two of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) event in Macau.
The Californian card sharp, whose best result to date was a third-place finish at the World Series of Poker Circuit championship tournament at Harrah's Rincon earlier this year, holds a marginal advantage over Charles Chua in second, PokerNews reports.
Keith Wintermans is third, ahead of Javed Abrahams, David Steicke and Junghyun Choi.
Tian Chen, Kevin MacPhee, David Chiu and Andre Wagner take up the remaining top ten positions.
Chiu is currently tenth in Card Player's player of the year competition and will move up the standings considerably should he manage to win the Grand Waldo Hotel event.
John Phan is too far away for him to catch with just one victory, but he would appear capable of overtaking second-placed Erik Seidel.
The American is currently first on the Hendon Mob's 2008 live tournament earnings list.
