Shorr 'enjoying his time away from poker'

Shannon Shorr is having a good time away from poker's live tournament circuit, he has revealed.
In his blog, the Alabaman claimed to be doing well at college and is enjoying being awake during the daytime.
"I actually get to experience the sunshine, which was a rare happening when I was always playing poker," he remarked.
Shorr announced over the summer that he would be taking a break from live poker for a while in order to concentrate on his studies.
He is set to miss out on numerous major competitions as a result, including the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe event.
Before returning to school he spent several months playing cards almost non-stop at the WSOP and the World Poker Tour Bellagio Cup IV in Las Vegas.
He achieved a large amount of success, earning well over $800,000 for numerous final table finishes as well as a tournament victory.
