Kamberis posts third highest OPOY score ever

Alex 'AJKHoosier1' Kamberis is in a strong position to break Card Player's online player of the year (OPOY) record after becoming the third highest scoring competitor in history this week.
The internet star picked up 1,600 points on Monday night to take his overall total to 7,692 points.
Only two men have ever done better and Kamberis still has more than three months left to catch Isaac 'westmenloAA' Baron's benchmark of 8,304.
He has already eclipsed Baron's winnings from 2007, with his $1,502,775 total just under $500,000 more than the reigning champion managed last year.
Kamberis' new score gives him a huge advantage over the rest of the field in the 2008 race, with long-time leader Brian 'SNo0oWMAN' Hawkins currently well over 1,700 points behind.
Indeed, only three competitors are within 2,000 points of Kamberis - and Baron, who has experienced a resurgence this month and is now up to 12th, is a massive 3,202 points off the pace.
