Negreanu dominates day 1b of WSOP Europe main event

Daniel Negreanu finished day 1b of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe main event with a substantial chip lead, it has been reported.
The four-time WSOP bracelet holder, who has already had two deep runs at the Casino at the Empire in Leicester Square, London this month, finished the day with 154,050 chips, according to Poker News.
This is just under 16,000 more chips than second-placed Jamie Rosen possesses.
Marco Traniello, Roland De Wolfe, Nenad Medic, Jennifer Tilly and Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott are among the famous faces who also performed quite well over the day, while John Juanda, Barry Greenstein, Tom Dwan and Doyle Brunson all did enough to progress to the next round.
Gavin Smith, Gus Hansen, John Phan and Sorel Mizzi all went to the rail.
The prize pool is marginally less than it was last year when Annette Obrestad took the title, with £3,630,000 ($6,565,787) on the line, compared to 2007's £3,676,990.
