2008-09-29 11:59:26

Justin Smith finished day 1a of the World Series of Poker Europe main event with a huge chip advantage over the rest of the field.

The internet star, best known as BoostedJ, had approximately 150,000 chips in his stack at the end of play, an advantage of more than 50,000 over second-place Erik Sagstrom, Poker News reports.

Andy Bloch, Scott Montgomery, Andy Black, Brandon Adams and Mike Matusow were the big names who finished the day inside the top ten, with the likes of Joe Hachem, Eli Elezra, Phil Hellmuth and Erik Seidel also doing enough to progress to day two.

Patrcik Antonius, Layne Flack, Phil Ivey, David Benyamine and Howard Lederer are just a few of the famous faces who went to the rail.

In all, 165 people entered day 1a of the £10,000 ($19,131) buy-in tournament and about 94 remain.

Another star-studded group of players is expected to take part on day 1b, with four-time WSOP bracelet holder Daniel Negreanu likely to be among the participants.
