2008-09-30 12:15:22

Andy Bloch leads the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe main event after day two, it has been reported.

The Nevada resident has approximately 321,600 chips, according to Poker News, putting him just over 30,000 ahead of second-placed Brain Townsend.

Erik Seidel lies in third position as he tries to retake the lead at the top of Card Player's player of the year table, which he lost to John Phan a month ago.

John Juanda, Chris 'Moorman1' Moorman, Daniel Negreanu, Brandon Adams and Mike Matusow are the other big names up among the frontrunners, while Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliot, Ross Boatman, Phil Laak and Victoria Coren are among the remaining famous faces returning for day three.

There are approximately 67 players left in the tournament, with three days of action to go.

It has been confirmed that the winner will receive a prize of £868,800 ($1.56 million), which is down by £132,000 on last year's total.
