Bellagio Cup II winner Shannon Shorr will make his return to the live poker circuit next week after almost three months on the sidelines.
The Alabaman revealed in his blog that he has a two-day break from school and is going to use the opportunity to head to Las Vegas to play some cards.
"This is by far the longest stretch I've gone without playing live poker since I started playing professionally in January of 2006," he remarked, suggesting that he is very excited about his poker homecoming.
Shorr also confirmed that he will take part in the World Poker Tour (WPT) Five Diamond World Poker Classic in December, the main event of which is traditionally one of the biggest tournaments of the year.
Eugene Katchalov of Ukraine won last time out, picking up $2,482,605 for his troubles, the second largest payout of the entire WPT season behind April's WPT Championship.
