Brunson: WSOP Europe was much better than last year

2008-10-06 12:14:41

Doyle Brunson has suggested he enjoyed playing at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe this year much more than he did in 2007.

In his latest blog post, the ten-time WSOP bracelet holder said the fact that only one casino hosted the event "made it easier", while significant advances were made elsewhere, particularly regarding tournament structure.

"There were lots of improvements over last year and whoever was responsible for the structure of the games should be complimented," the Texas Dolly remarked.

Despite appearing to have a good time, however, Brunson revealed that he was left feeling exhausted afterwards.

The 74-year-old has been complaining of feeling tired a lot recently, but still maintains a hectic schedule of card playing.

During his time in London for the WSOP Europe, he played in three competitions and engaged in a heads-up match with Annette Obrestad, which he won.

This followed a summer in which he took part in numerous WSOP competitions and media activities, as well as a trip to Macau for the Asian Poker Tour.
