Negreanu expects form to continue

2008-10-07 12:11:05

Daniel Negreanu has suggested he expects his good run of form to continue over the next few weeks.

The Canadian, who predicted in his Full Contact Poker blog at the end of the summer that he would go through a purple patch, has made several deep runs while in London for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe, including finishing fifth in the main event.

Now he has told his journal readers that he believes he will continue to do well on the other side of the Atlantic, where he is to compete in tournaments at Niagara Falls and the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

"I played some really good poker during this European trip … it bodes well for my confidence," he remarked.

"I'm going to be a tough guy to knock out in both of those events."

Negreanu currently ranks 53rd in Card Player's player of the year competition. His best finish was first place in event 20 of the WSOP in Las Vegas, which earned him his fourth gold bracelet.
