Brunson 'wishes he had more time for playing poker'

2008-10-09 12:08:41

Doyle Brunson has suggested that he wishes he did not have so many business commitments to take care of and that he could just play poker instead.

The ten-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet holder wrote in his blog that "there is no life that is as good as being a pro poker player with no other concerns" as he lamented how professional gamblers are simply not cut out to do paperwork.

He said that if he could go back in time to a decade ago, he may have taken a slightly different route to the one that he is on now, specifying that he would definitely give himself "time to play the game that I love".

Brunson is 74 years old but still keeps a busy schedule, having travelled to both Macau and London in recent months to take part in poker tournaments, TV filmings and book signings.

He was enshrined in poker's hall of fame in 1988 and is the joint-second biggest bracelet winner in WSOP history.
