Suharto frontrunner on day 1c of the North American Poker Championship

Darus Suharto ended day 1c of the World Poker Tour (WPT) North American Poker Championship as the frontrunner with 188,000 chips, according to estimates on the WPT website.
The Indonesian was among a host of big names who made it through to day two last night, which included John Phan, Daniel Negreanu, Bill Edler, Chau Giang, Kathy Liebert and Steve Sung.
David Pham, Carlos Mortensen, John Juanda, Erick Lindgren and Glen Chorny were among those who went to the rail early.
Suharto is perhaps best known for being a member of the November Nine, the final table competitors set to return next month to decide the outcome of the 2008 World Series of Poker main event.
His day 1c performance appears indicative of the kind of form many of those card sharps are showing at present, with Ivan Demidov's recent third-place finish at the WSOP Europe main event in London perhaps the most notable example.
