Herm goes second in OPOY race

Marc 'DIPTHRONG' Herm has moved up into second place in Card Player's online player of the year competition after a big points score on Sunday.
The internet card sharp finished second in one event to earn 900 points, taking his overall total to 6,222.
This was good enough to knock Philip 'USCphildo' Collins (5,966) down to third position, but still leaves him a long way off the top spot occupied by Alex 'AJKHoosier1' Kamberis (8,584).
Only four other poker players in history have scored more than 6,000 points and Collins joins an exclusive list including Isaac 'westmenloAA' Baron, Matt 'ch0ppy' Kay, Sorel 'Imper1um' Mizzi and Kamberis, who holds the points record with his current total for this season.
Baron, the reigning champion, is currently competing in the World Poker Tour Festa al Lago event at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
He only became eligible to compete in live US competitions when he turned 21 over the summer.
