More than 500 players are set to register for the European Poker Tour (EPT) Budapest, making the event a sellout.
While registration at the first EPT to be held in Hungary remains open, more than 100 players have already won their seats to the event online through PokerStars.
EuropeanPokerTour.com reported that a number of Hungarian pros are set to make an appearance at the event, which begins today. Top players from the country include Valdemar Kwaysser, Richard Toth, Denes Kalo - a two-time runner up in last season's EPTs - and Csaba Toth.
Today, the first of the four-day event, will see play from the likes of Marcin Horecki, who ranked third at the EPT London event earlier this autumn and Luca Pagano, EPT Player of the Year.
Capped at 500 players, the EPT Hungarian Open is taking place at the Las Vegas Casino, which is part of the Sofitel Hotel.
