Kelly breaks through OPOY 7,000-point barrier

Daniel 'djk123' Kelly moved past the 7,000 points mark in Card Player's online player of the year (OPOY) competition this week as he hunts down Alex 'AJKHoosier1' Kamberis at the top of the rankings.
Kelly, who has had a fantastic November to move up to second position in the table, finished fourth in an event on November 15th, earning 240 points and taking his overall total for 2008 to 7,026.
This leaves him 1,850 points behind Kamberis and 76 ahead of Steve 'gboro780' Gross in third.
Brian 'SNo0oWMAN' Hawkins is fourth on 6,564 points, followed by mendieta19 (6,484), Mark 'dipthrong' Herm (6,474), Philip 'USCphildo' Collins (6,456) and Shaun 'shaundeeb' Deeb (6,452).
Only three other men have scored more than 7,000 points in a single year - Kamberis, Matt 'ch0ppy' Kay and reigning OPOY Isaac 'westmenloAA' Baron.
The latter currently lies 31st in the 2008 competition, with a tally of 4,538.
