Gross overtakes Kelly to go second in OPOY

Steve 'gboro780' Gross has moved into second place in Card Player's online player of the year race after making a final table on Monday (November 17th).
Gross picked up 120 points for finishing fourth in the event, taking his overall tally to 7,070 - 44 points more than Daniel 'djk123' Kelly who was relegated to third.
He is now just one major victory (1,830 points) behind leader Alex 'AJKHoosier1' Kamberis, who also picked up points on Monday, receiving 24 for a tenth-place finish.
Kamberis is 100 away from a milestone 9,000 points, a score never achieved before in the history of the competition. He overtook Isaac 'westmenloAA' Baron as the points record holder at the start of October.
Brian 'SNo0oWMAN' Hawkins sits in fourth position on 6,664, with mendieta19 180 points behind in fifth.
Every competitor in the top 11 has now earned more than 6,000 points, an increase of eight on last year's final standings.
