Negreanu takes down BC Poker Championship

Daniel Negreanu picked up his second big victory of the season over the weekend in the BC Poker Championships in Richmond.
Kid Poker had written in his Full Contact Poker blog beforehand that he was expecting to do well in the event - and it could not have gone much better for the Canadian, who secured the title and first-place prize of $371,910, the Vancouver Province reports.
Negreanu said that winning at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond was "extra special" due to his nationality.
Card Player magazine has yet to update its player of the year rankings in light of the result, but a top 25 position would appear to be possible for Negreanu, who currently lies 998 points off that spot in 76th position with a total of 2,187.
His points were generated by a victory and a final table finish at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) over the summer and a fifth-place finish in the WSOP Europe main event.
