I played the heads-up perfectly, says Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has suggested that he could not have played any better in the heads-up against Adam Croffut at the end of the BC Poker Championships.
Writing in his Full Contact Poker blog, he claimed that he "played perfectly" against his opponent and made two correct laydowns of pairs on the river on his way to winning the title.
Afterwards, Croffut admitted that he had never played heads-up before, which put him at a stark disadvantage against Kid Poker, who has plenty of experience of playing one-on-one at the highest levels of the game.
"Based on the way he was playing me heads-up, I quickly felt like I had the right strategy and should be able to grind him down with better fundamentals," Negreanu said, explaining that he used his usual heads-up approach.
The victory will reaffirm Negreanu's position in second place on the Hendon Mob's all-time live tournament earnings list and make him only the second person in history to move past the $11 million mark.
