Kamberis breaks 9,000-point OPOY barrier

After two weeks of his rivals making gains, Card Player's online player of the year (OPOY) frontrunner Alex 'AJKHoosier1' Kamberis has kicked away again with two notable points scores on Sunday night.
The record holder secured 160 points in one event and 180 in another, lifting his overall score to 9,240 and making him the only person in history to go past the 9,000 mark.
It leaves him 1,318 points ahead of Steve 'gboro780' Gross in second and a further 896 points in front of third-placed Daniel 'djk123' Kelly.
Brian 'SNo0oWMAN' Hawkins (6,676) and mendieta19 (6,496) round out the top five.
Another competitor picking up big points on Sunday was Keven 'Stamdogg' Stammen, who picked up 480 points for a fourth-place finish.
This catapulted him up from outside the top 25 to 14th position on 5,742 points, putting him ahead of online superstars such as Mike 'SirWatts' Watson (5,590) and Tim 'Tmay420' West.
