Winston wishes for better tournament schedules

2008-12-02 11:59:30

Professional poker player Roy Winston has stated that he would like to see more thought put into tournament schedules so not as many events clash.

The Oracle wrote in his Card Player blog that he was going to have to choose between the Aussie Millions, the European Poker Tour Caribbean Adventure and the Borgata Poker Classic in January, suggesting he would like to go to them all if possible.

However, "something is going to have to give" and it is not going to be the Borgata event, he said.

"It is good that we have a lot of choices when it comes to tournaments, but sometimes you have to wonder if they couldn't schedule them a little better," Winston remarked.

Over the summer he ran into scheduling problems when he was invited to the Asian Poker Tour competition in Manila, but could not attend because it took place at the same time as event one of the World Series of Poker.
