Eastgate to play EPT Prague

Denmark's Peter Eastgate has signed up to take part in the upcoming European Poker Tour (EPT) event in Prague, it has been announced.
According to the EPT's official website, the 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event winner will line-up alongside fellow European luminaries Katja Thater, Dario Minieri, Alex Kravchenko and reigning EPT player of the year Luca Pagano at the Hilton Prague Hotel, which will host the tournament from December 9th.
The Dane, 22, has cashed twice in EPT competitions this year, finishing 32nd in Copenhagen and 18th in London.
However, he will need to shrug off the curse that has affected WSOP main event champions in recent years if he is to achieve a similar feat later this month.
It took 2006 winner Jamie Gold ten months before he cashed again in a major tournament after his victory, while 2007 titlist Jerry Yang has arguably still not yet landed in the money in another big event.
